After Rita feigns nightly headaches to avoid making love with Blake, he insists she see a doctor. Seizing the opportunity, Joel poses as Dr. Travers and makes a house call at the mansion. Blake stuns Alexis by telling her Fallon is alive in California. Claudia inherits an oil well from Walter Lankershim and moves back in with the Carringtons. Rita spikes Blake's brandy with a barbiturate to keep him sexually at bay. From his hospital bed, Galen vows to make Alexis the most powerful woman in the world.
